A dear Sister emailed me recently to explain her situation and ask the following. My response follows:

Dear Brother JJ.

So , what do we do now, in view of all this new understanding that Jehovah will judge His house first, do we flee.? Is it wrong to NOT go? [My family member] refused to go to meetings after learning all this, however he was also very depressed and very angry inside.
I have gone here in this town, but the congregation is the coldest I have ever been in,, its hard to go to meetings, let alone stay. I really enjoyed the book study before they cut that up..Back home the congregation was warm and happy.. and sang with big voices
I dont even try to go to meetings now
..let alone 5 meetings. can’t see to drive at night, and the preparation is too much.

Daniel included himself in his prayers concerning the sins of Israel, and the angels considered Daniel “a very desirable man”. Which is what we all want to be considered.
Paul encourages his to not forsake the gathering…….

[My family member] always thought calling me on the phone was gathering together to discuss the Bible. So, if I dont go,, will I be gathered with Jehovah at the end.. when He brings everyone back together Isa 43: knowing this is for the anointed, what about the others?  What do you think?  Should I go back to meetings??? It very hard to know what to do now..

Dear Sister

You have asked one of the hardest questions that we face as “enlightened” Jehovah’s Witnesses and I have been struggling with this myself. The very fact that your conscience is troubled says something very positive about the condition of your heart.  Let me answer this one piece at a time and mention a few different choices you could make:

Going to the meetings can still be beneficial for us. Cold congregations exist, but in my experience they are the exception not the rule. The fact that your previous congregation was so warm testifies to this. “To know us is to love us” is a phrase that often applies to Jehovah’s Witnesses, and really most folks and groups in society in my experience. If there is more than one congregation in your area, I suggest you try another one. Locate one of the elders; explain that you are wanting to attend meetings there. Mention how long you have been baptized and they will likely start asking you what help and assistance you need. The KH can be a place of refuge and good fellowship, even though certain talks, Watchtower Studies, and procedures do not appear to be guided by Jehovah God’s spirit anymore (if they ever were). Personally, I am not ready to just go to a church somewhere, it doesn’t feel right to me and I would disagree with far more at one of those than I ever would at the Hall. As for getting there at night, we actually set up a program to drive older ones and others that needed a ride to meeting and I would be very surprised if your local elders didn’t offer to help you by assigning some publishers to pick you up and drop you off. It would be loving on your part to of course occasionally pay a few dollars in gas if this was a regular routine. (Or pay in pies, haha!)  Listening in on the phone or over the internet is what some do, and again that is your personal choice.  Some does this because going to the Hall causes anxiety and panic attacks and that is understandable as some have been roughly treated and are still hurting.

As for pre-study, this is NOT a requirement and don’t beat yourself up over it…Jehovah is not tracking who studies their Watchtower the best and uses the most colored pens.

I commented on “content vs. context” in one of my other posts, read it as you have time if you haven’t already. Briefly, it talks about how content is supplied to us at the meetings, such as a talk about Family life. This may be very relevant to us personally, due to our being an active grandparent, husband, wife, etc. This would certainly be “food at the proper time” for you then. Yet another talk or study on obeying the “faithful slave” would obviously not be something that applies to us or is indeed to be fully believed and accepted. If you’re able to deal with these unpleasant parts, you still have the encouragement of the friends, their fellowship, tangible assistance from the brothers, etc. These are wonderful and valuable things that can enhance your life. Also being able to upbuild and encourage fellow Christians is something Jesus said would bring happiness (Acts 20:35) You no doubt have a lot of experience and wisdom that you have accumulated over your years of life and of being a Christian and would be of great assistance to the ones that are fortunate enough to have the pleasure of your company and fellowship. You would not detract but add to the quality of the congregation. This is part of the reason that God tells us to meet together!

“And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, 25 not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as YOU behold the day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

And then there is the other alternative, which I have considered many times, and still wonder if I will end up following someday: Meet in private homes with the Bible Students or others that share similar Christian beliefs as you do. These loving Christian people will welcome you with open arms and everyone that does research and exercises Biblical modesty has opportunity to be heard.  This must be done with care and forethought though if you are currently known as a Witness. This is because the WTS policy is that if you attend another religion’s meeting that is an act of so-called apostasy and you are automatically “disassociated”.  When it becomes known, the elders will announce that you are no longer one of Jehovah’s Witnesses from the platform of your former congregation. No appeal or meeting with the “wrongdoer” is required anymore in this type of instance. If you have no one you care about among the Witnesses that will shun you then it may not be an issue. I am not able to make this leap right now in my life but that’s my conscience and personal predicament. Jehovah and Christ will use us where they see fit and we should take this into consideration when praying about such a big step, I’m sure you will agree.

Your comment about Daniel also makes me think of Jeremiah, Moses, and other of God’s servants that served Him when the majority of his people were misled or even serving false gods. They had God’s blessing even though His Organization had been polluted and twisted. They followed their conscience and they took action and were brave. And this is the crux of it Sister- do what you can. Try your best, and know that Jehovah accepts your sacrifice.

“. . .Whatever YOU are doing, work at it whole-souled as to Jehovah, and not to men, 24 for YOU know that it is from Jehovah YOU will receive the due reward of the inheritance. SLAVE for the Master, Christ.” (Colossians 3:23-24)

I hope this has helped you at least a little- remember that we are all just fellow slaves and no one’s voice is higher than another’s. Please let me know what you end up doing if you feel comfortable updating me as time goes on.

Your brother, JJ

What do you brothers and sisters think after reading her plight ?  The struggle is so hard and so different for each one of us. Luke 13:24 says “Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door, because many, I tell YOU, will seek to get in but will not be able”.

What does this say about us? About God and Christ? They are aware of our trials and sufferings, this we know for certain…

I feel you have given good advice to our dear sister. The meetings were made for our sake, we weren’t made for the meetings sake. In other words the meetings were made to help us stay strong if they are not doing that (or perhaps doing the opposite) we have no obligation to go.

Jesus said where 2 or 3 are gathered in his name he would be there. Therefore home meetings are definitely an option. One scripture I always try to remember is Gal. 5:6b “what matters is faith working through love”. Showing faith and love should be the goal of every christian. It matters not if we study and underline a certain publication, or if we raise and comment a certain amount of times, or if we report a certain amount of hours. Faith working thru love, that is mainly our sole obligation as christians.

  2. Amos says:

    Br. JJ, good advice again.
I have been in a dilemma about association myself. I have done the investigation into most religions close by, & for conscience reasons, I would have a difficulty attending their services for reasons of false beliefs.
I have therefore decided to move close to a group of Bible Students, (as you have suggested is a possibilty for this dear sister).
Most of the BS’s beliefs are in line with bible truth, & as you say, they are very loving christians. For the sake of good association, I can overlook the things that I consider fall short of the truth.

Isn’t this amazing, the Holy Spirit has been guiding my progress to the point where I can now see things in perspective, & not through a narrow vision that I once had as a follower of a man made organization. I do feel very blessed & humbled by this.
I call this “spiritual evolution.” I have been gradually progressing in my search for truth, & have been able to arrive at, what I believe to be, the closest to the truth from the scriptures that we can probably get, that is, the Bible Students.

Br. JJ, I understand your situation, & know that when the time is right for you, you can then make your move. The most important thing is of course, to continue to strengthen your bond with our Heavenly Father. Who knows, HE may require you & some others to remain within the WTS, to care for those who are sighing & groaning, which you would not be able to do if you left too soon.

    Hi JJ,
You said, “And then there is the other alternative, which I have considered many times, and still wonder if I will end up following someday: Meet in private homes with the Bible Students or others that share similar Christian beliefs as you do. These loving Christian people will welcome you with open arms…” I believe this is good advice. When Rutherford took over everything changed for the worse. I too believe that the Bible Students are closer to true Christianity than JW’s are. Although I do disagree with some of their teachings. At least they do not require one to agree on everything. They are still teachable people and that I really like.

    Much Christian Love,

  4. Jayme says:

Very good advise bro. JJ. I especially agree with your views on meeting together to upbuild as per Hebrews 10:24-25. For those who find themselves “enlightened” and who are able, focusing on attending meetings for the purpose of upbuilding our brothers rather than for instruction may be a good choice for now. I also agree that we must place these questions in Jehovahs hands and be listening for His desire on where He wants to use us and since this is a journey I believe that He possibly will move us around as we progress and dependant on our gifts.

All this is also so traumatic so we must allow ourselves time to regroup and to heal thru study and the Holy Spirit. Then we can be in a much better position to be upbuilding to our brothers and to move on to whatever God has for us next.

  5. Lester Kite says:

I had those feelings about where should I go if I left the clutches of the WTS , my elder father used to say he’s still stay a Dub even if he was the only one left in the entire world! without looking at the fundamental issues as why 99.9% left. There is a life after the WTS I just did not rush into a program of worship, I dabbled with Evangelical Christianity it just never appealed to me, I suppose I have a leaning towards a Buddhist style or philosophy and also follow a Deism style of faith, if there ever was a God in the heavens the sadistic, evil, angry, sick God of the Old Testament has definitely lost control.

Wake up folks stop wasting your time serving an evil publishing company of evil perverts in Brooklyn.

  6. JJ says:

I honestly do appreciate your viewpoint, and would defend your right to hold it and express it.

That said, Buddhism and Deism are not things that are compatible with the teachings of Christ in my understanding. Please don’t misunderstand- my comment is not about judging or condemning anyone. It is only to say that I do not feel that Jehovah, or YHWH if you prefer, is the kind of God you intimate that he was/is in the Hebrew Scriptures or Old Testament. That I would defend as my right and my deeply held spiritual belief.

The members of the Bethel families worldwide are by and large sincere Christian people. That has been my personal experience. Are some full of arrogance and self-importance? Even in leadership roles? Certainly…

  7. Lester Kite says:

membership and affiliation to man made religious high control cults is not compatible with the “teachings of Christ” either JJ, the pagan occult origins of The WTS in which CT Russell embraced pyrimology and numerology go as far away as is possible in what Christ taught.Warnings and alerts to the general public fortunately have exposed the fraud and lies that organizations like the WTS endorse, the scriptures quite clearly identify “false prophets” and that is exactly what the WTS is and a very dangerous one, one which luckily will be soon to be destroyed.

  8. Amos says:

Brother JJ, I completely & totally support what you have said in your reply to Lester. The vast majority of adherents to the WTS are as you have stated, as are sincere adherents to most nominal religious systems.
The major difference that I see, is the entrapment by the WTS, as they have developed into a cult.

  9. Amos says:

Lester, I agree with your sentiments concerning man made cults.
Have you ever done an honest evaluation of the teachings of CT Russell, as you mentioned, on Pyramidology & numerology? What Russell was investigating & teaching, is not the commonly held & understood beliefs on these subjects that are linked with the occult….much to the reverse. I am at present looking into the “Great Pyramid”, as there is more to it than occultish religious worship. This Pyramid was not even constructed by the Egyptians, but another race.

Have you ever studied the early practices of Buddhism? Do you realize there is much of the occult & spirit worship, along with canibalism of their enemies in their worship? They are not as peaceful as they portray, when you check them out.

Your statement; “membership and affiliation to man made religious high control cults is not compatible with the “teachings of Christ” either JJ,”
Do you realize that it is the same God that Jesus taught, as represented in the OT?

  10. Lester Kite says:

I’m afraid well have a agree to disagree on the early findings on CT Russell, IMHO a obsession with Pyramidology and Numerology do have Occult origins and the symbol isms used in the writings of Studies in the Scriptures/Divine Plan of the Ages which included such examples of the “winged disc,The All Seeing Eye etc, also CT Russell was buried next to a pyramid in a Masonic cemetery,If CT Russell was never a member of The Masons he certainly was sympathetic towards Masonry.
Not too sure what you meant by that last sentence
    L Kite

    • Amos says:

      Greetings Lester, I notuce you didn’t answer my question to you;
“Have you ever done an honest evaluation of the teachings of CT Russell, as you mentioned, on Pyramidology & numerology?”

This is very important to do personally before one can make the type of statements that you have….you must be personally informed concerning the subject.

BTW, CT Russell, had noting to do with the placement of the pyramid beside his grave, as this was put there many years after his death.
It seems to me that you’ve been reading some propaganda that has been placed on the internet, that largely has no truth at all in it.
If you call Russell a “numerologist” then you’ll by default need to call the creator Himself, “YHWH”, a numerologist also, as it was HE who set the numbers in HIS recorded blueprint for mankind, to sift through & find the many hidden meanings represented ny numbers.
To say that it’s a fascinating & rewarding study in itself, is an understatement.

      • Amos says:

        Lester, I meant to add a reply to your question concerning the last sentence to you previously, it was in reply to your statement in reply #5 as follows;
Quote, “if there ever was a God in the heavens the sadistic, evil, angry, sick God of the Old Testament has definitely lost control.”

  11. Lester Kite says:

Amos I exited the WTS well beyond the days of the “interweb” my research on Russell and the exposing of religious cults and sects came from good old printed matter and visits to my local library, “Schnell’s;” 30 years a WT Slave” and a lovely book by Alan Rogerson were early “apostate” stuff I got my hands on also Len and Marge Chretien,Bill Cetner,The Trumpet of Prophecy(cant remember the author)Reed and Randall Watters various works, not forgetting Ray Franz/Penton/Carl Olaf Jonson, were all authors I paid a lot of attention to,the 80’s offered up some very good resource material.

    • Amos says:

Lester, you still didn’t answer my question, I’ll put it another way.
“Have you done your own study on Russell’s works concerning the Pyramid & numbers?”
I find the thought that he was using pyramidology & numerology, an incorrect way of refering to his writings.
I also have Schnell’s book & Franz’s two books, & have read on line, much of the other authors that you mentioned.
If we want to know what someone teaches, we need to read what they say themselves, & not rely on hearsay from others, regardless of who these others are.
Brother Franz has exposed some of the false teachings of Bro. Russell, but these are generally not accepted by the BS’s as fact, Bro. JJ has just started a new thread with some of these points that Bro Franz has exposed.

      • ResLight says:

Some have claimed that Russell was “into” numerology, with the idea that Russell was into some kind of demonic occultism, or spiritism. In reality, Russell was not into any kind of spiritisic numerology. What does the word “numerology” mean?

the study of numbers, as the figures designating the year of one’s birth, to determine their supposed influence on one’s life, future, etc.

Some, however, not knowing the background of the word numerology, have misapplied that word to the Biblical study of the Biblical numbers. Thus, some references speak of “Biblical numerology,” which in reality has nothing to do with the kind of “numerology” that is usually associated with the word. As far as I have been able to determine, Russell never applied the word “numerology” to the study of numbers in the Bible; indeed, I have not found any place where he ever used the word “numerology” at all. A search of his works on the Bible Students Library DVD shows that he never used that word. Of course, a study of the numbers in the Bible has nothing at all to do with spiritistic numerology, but the fact some Christians have adopted the term “Biblical Numerology” for the study of Biblical numbers has misled some to think that Russell was into occultism because he sometimes referred to the symbolic meanings of numbers used in the Bible.

Likewise, a search of E. W. Bullinger’s book: “Number in Scripture”, shows that he never used the term Biblical Numerology. However, John J. Davis has, I believe unwittingly, entitled his book, “Biblical Numerology,” by which many have concluded that study of Bible numbers has something to do with demonic occultism. I believe that it would be best to differentiate Biblical study of numbers from the word “numerology,” since the latter word in many people’s minds directly relates to demonic occultism.

  12. Lester Kite says:

I’ve answered your question twice, and yes I have studied Russell’s works, I have had close acquaintances who have been associated with The Layman’s Home Missionary Movement and The Dawn group so from reading the original pieces of Russell’s works from the confines of the KH library and contact with those Bible Students to the writers who have attacked his works I would say my study and research over the years has been quite extensive.

Lester, a personal friend of mine is decendent of the Miller of Millerite history. (Mark Miller) He is a wonderful brother to have in Christ. I asked him to come check out this site. We are from the same part of the U.S., and both backgrounded in JW org. Are you related to Floyd Kite, C.O and D.O. background? dw

      • JJ says:

I heard brother Kite speak. “Can You Sleep on a Windy Night” is a legendary talk.

Bruceguth, thank you for commenting. Please tell us more if you have time. I am trying to understand the point of your post but it escapes me at the moment.

        • bruceguth says:

To begin with JJ, I ask here that if anyone in this area would be interested, my bible study home church is planned for a beginning this May. I am 98 miles north of the southern Oregon border, along I-5. I don’t need to keep these things confidential. Address and directions are available as needed.

Floyd Kite was indeed a dynamic speaker. Brothers used to get in trouble for mentioning that much, since the “powers that be” saw him as a threat on the edge of “apostasy”. I always enjoyed knowing him when he was our circuit overseer & d.o. in the 70’s; Kern County CA.

There are many things that I would like to say here at this site. I intend to stick with this and keep checking. It seems that some of you here have similar experiences to mine. I could write volumes on these subjects, provided Jehovah is willing of course. On points of scriptural discussion, there is much clarification available on things I am reading on these threads. I am willing to contribute what I can.

…to Abba! Father, in Jesus Christ, our Lord!

  13. Amos says:

Thanks Lester, to be precise, this is the first time you have directly answered my question.
BTW, the LHMM have their own take on Bro Russell’s writings & those of PSL Johnson, & they do vary from what they actually taught.
I have a very academic outlook, & cannot see the connection with Pyramidology & numerology in the Pastors’ works. I’m not an actual BS, so I don’t have an axe to grind in that direction either, if you follow my reasonings, it’s just that I believe in that which lines up with the scriptures, as being either true or not.
Not long ago, I had the same view as yourself, until I started to do a study on the Great Pyramid, as distinct from the others. As I’ve stated before, the Great Pyramid, has no relationship with any of the others, & is quite substantially older. Neither was it built by the Egyptians, but from another people who travelled from the east, then returned after it was completed.

Can you please give some examples of the numerology that you are refering to? Unless you are refering to the use of numbers in chronology & the like, I see no connection to numerology in the Pastors’ works. This would be no different to any one who studied end times prophecy.

  14. serein says:

i read some were that job may have built the pyramid and that he may have actualy been king cheops but i dont see that being true,

i also read that he was actualy a king of the east and built it, i dont know if any of it is true,

but i cant see why god would want something like that built epecialy as it all has some thing to do with the stars and what not i think its a pagan built thing and that it was for worship for a diff god not jehovah,

as theres pyramids all over the place in the world,i also watched a tv program the otherday and on that program they thought it was built by the giants the fallen ones,

also on another program they showed that there was a pyramid that was even older than that one and biger but that it had crumbled some what and it was alot larger at botom,

now id have to go now and look on line to were this pyramid is cos i cant rem were they said and i cant rem the program, but i did find them both interesting as i also know that the bible studets beleive the pyramid to be alter to god,

up to know i dont beleive it.and wouldnt want to be brainwashed into beleiveing such,

jesus never mensioned it at all and why if its so important didnt he go visit it also i see no references to it anywere in new testerment,

why wouldnt a pyramid so significant not get mensioned at all. only one reference i know of is in in old testement and it dont say giant pyramid,

    • Amos says:

      Sr Serein,
      The only possible reference that I’m aware of that could be about the Pyramid is the one used by BS’s at Isa.19:19,20;

19 “In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the LORD near its border. 20 It will become a sign and a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the LORD because of oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Champion, and He will deliver them.”

I see no conclusive evidence for or against Bro Russell’s claims for the Pyramid, so am leaving it open & on the shelf for the moment. As to the builders, there are many suggestions for these, including as you have said Job, also Melchizedeck, Shem, Seth(if it was built pre-flood), the Nephilim (pre-flood), etc.

I feel there are more important things to get the sense of for our salvation, such as developing Godly qualities.

I have long ago determined to never be brainwashed into believing anything that I find inconclusive evidence for, & the Pyramid is one such thing. We may never have the correct understanding on this, in this, the gospel age.

  15. serein says:

exactly amos thats what i think,im not going to forget that satan is mixing everything up and all religion is suspect,i for one am not going to get dilusional about pyramids or anything else i want to search for truth and follow the bible and no human being,we are both as many others are searching out truth and i hope becouse of this jehovah see this and no matter what happens he saves us,

  16. serein says:

ok amos i want to look at all diff bibles and tell me if they all say this at revelation and if they do tell me what u think that means cos to me it means upon the earth as in here down on earth not in heaven, cos bible students are telling me its simbolic and it would be better translated to over the earth but u shouldnt change any words to suit urself and ur belief no matter what it says in other verses in this one i wana no if in all translations it says upon the earth ok revalation

9and they sing a new song, saying, `Worthy art thou to take the scroll, and to open the seals of it, because thou wast slain, and didst redeem us to God in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,

10and didst make us to our God kings and priests, and we shall reign upon the earth.

just been reading this and now i see it as the anointed will infact rule on the earth not in heaven, am i wrong

  17. Amos says:

    Hi Serein, I’ve just posted the following on the other forum, it is taken from the Strongs concordance (#1909) & is the explanation for the Grk word here used for on or over, “epi”;

A primary preposition; properly, meaning superimposition (of time, place, order, etc.), as a relation of distribution (with the genitive case), i.e. Over, upon, etc.; of rest (with the dative case) at, on, etc.; of direction (with the accusative case) towards, upon, etc. — about (the times), above, after, against, among, as long as (touching), at, beside, X have charge of, (be-, (where-))fore, in (a place, as much as, the time of, -to), (because) of, (up-)on (behalf of), over, (by, for) the space of, through(-out), (un-)to(-ward), with. In compounds it retains essentially the same import, at, upon, etc. (literally or figuratively).

If you go to the biblos site & click on INT (interlinear) then select Rev. 5:9,10, you can then read it. If you then click on the #1909 above the word “epi”, it will take you to the above quote.
If we use the word “epi”, “on or over”, in this context it has the same meaning as if we said, “The Queen of England rules ‘over’ the Brittish Commonwealth”, when in fact, she is actually ON earth.

I have come to believe that it means the anointed Kings & Priests will actually rule UPON the earth during the 1000 years, what happens after this is not yet known or revealed, they may then be taken to heaven or remain on earth.

You are the same as I was a year or so ago. We have been so starved of the truth from the scriptures, that we are now so thirsty that we are just soaking up as much as we can, each time we open the bible. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you into the truth from the scriptures, & he will direct you to the waters of life. As you read a verse, you will then be directed to another that will complement the 1st one, & it then begins to start making sense…..patience is needed, but in my case it was a great battle to be patient. Enjoy the trip, as there will be many who are praying for you & your family at this time.

  18. serein says:

going back to the bible students and pyramids, theres an under water pyramid and its huge in japan thats been descoverd and that it may be more than 10,000 years older than the pyramid at eygipt now theres lots not known about pyramids and they are all over the world and i think they were all to do with false god worship and not jehovah, we need to stear clear of the bible students theorys,i think they all stem from when the nephilim were ruling the earth and they infact were the most advanced people who could have possible made such structures to be so precise, and they are not from god or else hed have had everything we ever needed put in them and not a bible made up and not let any pagan egiption or anyone else in the world were they are used for pagan rituels, otherwise if a pyramid is of god for a purpose in eygipt then why did he alow pagans to use it later, its not right its delusional and the bible students althoe very nice and very up on scripture are still being blinded by the devil and unless they stop this theory they are to living in ignorence, now if im wrong il addmit it when they show me some proof, but im just not going to shift on this one theres to many of them in the world to just asume that god would build one of them for our future no way its just not true.
unless we are all delusional and theres no god aat all and all religion stems from thsi first beginings of one through pyramid making and worship in the beginings of the human race, also i dont see how we could be so primative back then like the evilutionals think we were, no if it wasnt made by humans then they had the help of higher beings, the fallen ones, and we should deff stear clear of that teaching.

  19. Amos says:

Serein, what you have just said, is what I’ve also been considering regarding the pyramid. At the moment, I’m on the fence, regarding the pyramid….not enough evidence either for or against, but leaning toward the against. I could go into some technical data about this pyramid, but think that this doesn’t prove anything either, so it’s best left unsaid.

You are also correct that we should keep right away from any teaching from man, that cannot be easily proven from the bible.
Keep up with bible study & research, along with prayer, & you can’t go wrong.

    Hello all
( I was looking for a place where to post this, and finally I did it here / if it is not the right place, admin. feel free to remove this post)
    Hello brothers,
may I put in words the knowledge I received (so, not my own) ?
    I will try to…
first, the expression “Jehovah’s witnesses” is not the name of Father’s worshipers ” with spirit and truth” / it is a “title” or a quality
this expression was taken as a “name” because of a “before-time” (that is, incorrect ) explanation/interpretation of Isaiah 43.
The “official” name given to those who have faith in Jesus Christ is ” Christian” !

Now , Jehovah in His Wisdom has fore-saw what had to happen during “latter days” within His own people
and He has written down in His Book
let us concentrate our minds to some passages of whose content point toward His people and the situations concerning it during the “latter days”

    1. Hosea 11:1-11
    2. Deuteronomy 32:1-43 (see also the introduction in chap. 31:19,21)
    3. Matthew 13:47-50

what do we see in common in these passages ?
    a short summary:
    — Jehovah pulled his people out of Egypt
    — they become “His people” , God has mercy on them , loves them , leads them and feeds them ( an peacefull relationship )
    — they did not reach the high measure of “faithfulness” required by God and more, they leave Him
    — God (as one who – in His rightousness- punishes) becomes angered/wrathfull on them and does punish them ( not peacefull relationship/God’s wrath manifested upon them – the “wrath” of God )
    — when the foretold time for God’s wrath ends up , He start the Judgement / which judgement is manifested through showing His Kindness toward those who loves Him, while He shows His anger and vengeance toward those who declares themselves His enemies : the outcome for the two different groups has to be visible
( here we see that God’s “wrath” passes away for those who love Him, while it remains upon those who are His enemies )

Now, regarding the parable of the NET : the fishing with the “net” is done by the wachtower , as result , many fishes good and bad are caught together becoming members of the “organization” or “witnesses of Jehovah” (according to WTS interpretation)

at the time of the “end”, that is the Judgement, Jesus (in Temple) is separating the good from the evil ones ,
SO , the “stage” of “good and evil ones” being together CEASES , that is the WT-org becomes useless for Jehovah
the evil ones are now thrown “outside” (in fire)
while the good ones are being put on “vessels” ( vessels of honor) or further prepared/taught/cleaned in order to enter in the Kingdom

    So, what will replace the WT-org ? — God’s Kingdom !

TODAY is the time when Jesus starts re-building the “tent of David” !

A little more : see Isaiah 35 all chapter.
there is a “desert” — what has been become a desert ? — God’s “vineyard” ! ( well , God’s vineyard means exactly the “worship” His people should practice )
this “vineyard” (worship) has been deserted by ungodly men and their teachings (members of His people)
in the midst of this “desert” Jehovah is being now “making/creating” a WAY , called “THE HOLY WAY”
this Holy Way means the worship practiced by those who NOW are “seeking Jehovah, His Kingdom and His righteousness” , to whom Jehovah through His Son Jesus Christ is revealing the light of His word – here I mean especially the light/meaning of many prophecies of whose meaning was sealed up untill now
So, by revealing His requirements , commandments and the meaning of the “end time” prophecies HE – Almighty God Jehovah is “setting” this Holy Way
    Isaiah 35
    8. And a highway shall be there, and a way; and it shall be called the Holy Way.
    >> The unclean shall not pass over it,
    >> but it shall be for the redeemed; the wayfaring men, yes, the simple ones and fools, shall not err in it and lose their way.

This Holy Way (of obeying Jehovah and worshiping Him with spirit and truth) leads the true worshippers into the Kingdom .

To these ones walking on this Way (by total obedience to God’s revealed will) was Jehovah referring when He said :”you are my witnesses” .
