“…If we as individuals do not fully understand a certain position taken by the slave class, that is no reason for us to reject it or return to Satan’s world. Instead, loyalty will move us to act humbly and wait on Jehovah to clarify matters.” Watchtower 08/8-15

If we find ourselves in a position where another JW or elder is asking us questions about our loyalty to the GB. The above Watchtower article quoted is a good one to keep in mind. By simply stating there are some things you do not understand and that you are “waiting on Jehovah”, you can stop further questioning.

How many Jehovah’s Witnesses today are doing this? They have been programed to not reject anything from the Governing Body but to “wait on Jehovah” if we do not fully understand a certain position taken by the slave class. What about the helper that Jesus said he would send us?

John 15:26, “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me.”

John 14:16-17, “…and I will request the Father and he will give YOU another helper to be with YOU forever, the spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive, because it neither beholds it nor knows it. YOU know it, because it remains with YOU and is in YOU.”

What about this helper that Jesus said will be with us forever? The helper is with us and remains in us? Why does the Governing Body not tell us to look to this helper? The spirit of truth? Personally I believe this is where we gain knowledge of truth, from Gods Holy Spirit and no man. Sure we can wait on Jehovah to correct the Governing Body but in the mean time rely on Gods Holy Spirit.

1 John 2:26-27, “These things I write YOU about those who are trying to mislead YOU. And as for YOU, the anointing that YOU received from him remains in YOU, and YOU do not need anyone to be teaching YOU; but, as the anointing from him is teaching YOU about all things, and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught YOU, remain in union with him.”

If anyone is teaching you that Jesus is not your mediator and you can not be anointed because that number had been filled then they are trying to mislead you. They can’t open the door to heaven then close it and open it again as JW’s have done. They are only standing in the way of ones seeking a relationship with Jesus. We do not look to man but to God and his Holy Spirit for truth. Yes wait on Jehovah to correct others but move ahead learning truth from Christ and the helper he sends now and forever. If you wait on Jehovah to correct the GB/JWorg you might miss the boat. Get on board now!

    Hi GB,

Your comment, “They can’t open the door to heaven then close it and open it again as JW’s have done. They are only standing in the way of ones seeking a relationship with Jesus.” reminds me of a scripture.

    Matthew 23:13 (HCSB)
13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You lock up the kingdom of heaven from people. For you don’t go in, and you don’t allow those entering to go in.

As for waiting on Jah, why didn’t Russell wait on Jah instead of taking action himself. Why didn’t he remain in nominal Christianity and wait on Jah? Why didn’t Rutherford wait on Jah when he had issue with CTR’s teachings? Why did he himself change those teachings he didn’t agree with (By the way, he did this alone and not by consulting other members of the body as there was no GB at the time. What he said and wrote became doctrine for ALL)? We know the answer don’t we? They believe the Holy Spirit only works through the Governing Body (or early on, through the guy at the top) and not through all Christians. This position, as you have shown is not biblical. It is contrary to scripture. They believe as does the Catholic Church, that they are the repository of all truth and God only works through them. It’s about POWER. This is a very old heresy that they and others are guilty of. They are just like the Catholic Church in this regard but instead of a single Pope they have a multi-headed pope at the top.

    2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

ALL Christians must follow this admonition. We are individually responsible for “Rightly dividing the word of truth” with the help of the Holy Spirit.

BTW, where does it say to wait on the LORD to expose false teachings and to continue to accept and teach these false teachings until this happens? Really, I’d like to know where this is in the bible. What this whole wait on Jehovah things is really about is not rocking the boat (ark) and to maintain the appearance of unity at the expense of truth!

    Your Brother,
    Dennis

Don’t mean to sound hateful in the above post, I just didn’t feel the need to sugar coat it. Just wanted to tell it as I see it. : )

      I think that’s at Watchtower 1:1

Thanks for your post Dennis, I agree with you 100%

I’d be more offended that Dennis called you “GB,” Greybeard! hahaha

I liked how you suggested to use the “I’m waiting on Jehovah” line towards any who might be interrogating you as to where your loyalty lies. It would deflect them. Personally though, the fact that the WTS uses the line so often just gives me a sick feeling in my stomach anytime I hear it now. That line and “they’re just imperfect men.” Barf.

The whole “wait on Jehovah” makes me sick.

No where in the bible, is the accruing of the Wisdom of Jehovah deferred to any man or group of men. Rather we are admonished as that it is our PERSONAL duty to search the scriptures.

    Consider….

Pro 2:4 if you keep seeking for it as for silver, and as for hid treasures you keep searching for it,
Pro 2:5 in that case you will understand the fear of Jehovah, and you will find the very knowledge of God.
Pro 2:6 For Jehovah himself gives wisdom; out of his mouth there are knowledge and discernment.

    AND…

1Jn 5:20 But we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us intellectual capacity that we may gain the knowledge of the true one.

YOU SEE GOD GAVE US A BRAIN to gain knowledge which we are to search for as for silver. Why silver and not gold? Because silver is a harder to mine. You have to dig deeper and likewise we have to dig deep to gain the wisdom from Jehovah.

The whole “wait on Jehovah” is yet another misquote by the Society, who have no shame in taking Gods word out of context.

That is Gods Holy Spirit and that comes directly to each of us from the Father not some man or group of men.

  5. John S. says:

Hey all you are tracking that scent right to the correct conclusion, the one I experienced.I waited 9 years after realizing the total absence of Jehovah’s holy spirit in our many K.H. meetings.Loss of harmony, enthusiasm for the ministry, cong. infighting, confusion over current doctrine, youth apathy worldliness, and families leaving the cong. to attend others ,hoping to escape oppressive, spiritually antagonistic elders, and the biggie for me…no results in the ministry-no Bible studies,or new disciples being produced. So with all this bad fruitage I woke up and realized;the bus isn’t coming! Jehovah was telling me to wake up and put 2and2 together.I reread the scriptures, realized where they (W.T.)took a wrong, turn, and started to educate myself.5 years+ later I am with the Holy Spirit and now trying to encourage others to do the same.Greybeard, just keep reading and praying.Take your stand is my advice to all submitting copy to this site. But don’t make the mistake of thinking they won’t track you down and disfellowship you for your work, they will. You can’t really expect to be able to sit on the fence on this one,as you remember the principle,”you can’t slave for two masters”.Everyone commenting on this site as moderators has definitely passed the ‘PONR'(point of no return in ocean navigation, that is over halfway on fuel and destination).Just keep on friends, don’t get scared. This fight is not all your own.The ruling powers will help you if you are in this with the right motive and you show faith.Greybeard,I too have the anointing, and this has opened my eyes to many truths the Witnesses apparently will never know, because I can clearly see by what is being published in the W.T. that the G.B.are really NOT ANOINTED. If I’m lyin’,I’m dyin.I would love to debate them openly. As to what they are preaching as gospel,I say, this is not the gospel of Jesus Christ or any of the Apostles.Jah did come to correct my situation,he reached in his hand and pulled me out of the flames.

The phrase “Wait on Jehovah” is used to stop the thought process when rational questions are posed to the mind.

It is “THOUGHT CONTROL”. One of the four main components of mind control.
