As per many requests JJ has added a new forum page to this web site. Many of you may have noticed that the subjects in these blogs have taken different directions off subject. I am probably the most guilty one as far as that goes. However we had no place to take a different subject. Now we do. The forum does not update the home page Recent Comments list so you will need to check the forum each time you login. Feel free to start new posts. Let’s all support this new forum and keep an eye on it for those who do not post on this blog. The link to the Forum is at the top on the right side of this page.

Thank you,
Your brother,
Greybeard

JJ I saw your rules for posting and whilst I encourage liberal free speech, I do so if it is with a view to building up and not tearing down.

There are many sites which give a million reasons why JW’s are wrong. That is easy. But they don’t build up and don’t have anything positive to encourage those who still have a spiritual need. I stay well clear of those sites and this is why I love this site. Take for example Andrew’s last posting for example, ‘Salvation Issue or Not’ what a lovely balanced article. I hope that as you moderate the posts, that you will enforce a positive outlook to serving our God and not allow it to become a place for bitter souls to bad mouth Jehovah and promote evolution etc

I agree with you many of the teachings are in fact correct but the same goes for many other denominations. I watch jimmy swaggart ministries on sonlife broadcasting and i have to say his teachings are more sound than many of the watchtowers but i do nto follow him i follow Jesus Christ only.Im amazed at the amount of bitterness shown by former JW’s. They seem to forget at one tiem they accepted them as the “Truth” as for me im a formwer witness who was never disfellowshipped but left .I surrendered myself to Jesus and eh taught and is still teaching me the Truth which is in him and noone else. Let every man be a liar and God be true the scriptures tells us. I beleive all things until i get the full understanding of it then discard what is untrue. What your are left with is Jesus and him crucified.

That is my goal for the site, and for the forum. You are very right that the “angry apostate” sites are a dime a dozen.

It is however becoming difficult for me to read every single thing that gets posted here. If I did I would never get any posts done!

So please help me as you can, and if you see anything offensive, don’t hesitate to let me know.

      Hi John,

The truth is, we haven’t been using the forum page as much as we thought we would. You need to set up a NEW log-in name and password with Yuku and then it should work. It is a totally different set-up then jwstruggle.com.

Maybe soon we can re-do our site so a forum will be all in one package. Then you won’t need a new login name or password.

The one we are thinking about cost a few hundred dollars and we just don’t have the money. Maybe soon we can make a donation page for this cause. With donations we could do this and promote the web site through google adds. Then we would get much more traffic.

Here is the program I have suggested that we move to: https://www.vbulletin.com/

Here is an example of it that I like and notice the forum: http://bibleforums.org/

Wow, where have you been, I have just found out about this sight, wonderful, I am already on yuku so can get on the forum and will be introducing myself, I was a born in and (cutting story very short) hubby and I finally left just over three years ago, although through many years of concerns and knowing something was not right. we are in our fifties so were JW’s a long time, we are now born again Christians, and have never been so happy.

I would love to have know about this sight a few years ago, but better late than never.

LuLu, I too ended my JW association (after 38 yrs) with the final years being increasingly aware that ‘something was not right.’ Perhaps the best explanation for this feeling is found at John 6:44,45 and 10:[1-]5:
“44 No man can come to me [Jesus] unless the Father, who sent me, draws him; and I will resurrect him in the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by Jehovah.’ Everyone that has heard from the Father and has learned comes to me…10:5 A stranger they will by no means follow but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.”
Hopefully, JHVH sees in our hearts that we are HIS sheep and not those ‘owned’ by someone else. “““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““

This sight is a blessing,,,, and I will donate to help. I am still an active JW, and I believe the main doctrines are irrefutable. The problem to me at least is when the manmade struture (ie decisions) handed out by the GB, stray from the scriptures. just one example, is when a person is df,d and wishes to return, that one must, sometimes for months, attend and come in last minute, and quickly leave after mtg is over. Where is the scriptoral authority for that demeaning policy. But on the other hand what other religion has a worldwide brotherhood
where one can id himself as a brother, and be warmly accepted, or in the case of a problem be helped. I’ve been JW for 42 years, and but have not to this day found, and I have looked, any other group that matches them. Thank you for having this sight and such a wonderful non-judgemental forum.

Dear Bro Devon , you asked :

“Where is the scriptoral authority for that demeaning policy?” , regarding “when a person is df,d and wishes to return, that one must, sometimes for months, attend and come in last minute, and quickly leave after mtg is over.”

In answer , there is no Scriptural answer to this policy , and though many JWs don’t realize it , most other Christian religions ” have worldwide brotherhoods where they can ‘id’ themselves as brothers, and be warmly accepted, or in the case of a problem be helped. ”

I have been a Christian for over 42 years , and have found that there are many Christian groups that do better than matching Jehovah’s Witnesses in welcoming all sorts of people into their associations , and there are millions of brothers and sisters around the world who are not a part of organized religion who will always welcome a brother in Christ .

Welcome to the “struggle” , bro Devon . . .
