Help

It can be one of life’s biggest trials when you come to the realization that the Watchtower Society is not what it claims to be, namely God’s organization. I remember the feelings that I had, shock, dismay, anger, depression, disbelief, fear and then finally acceptance.

Many of the questions that we have at this time in our awakening to the truth about the truth include…

Where else do we go?
How can we serve God without a visible structured organization?
Am I simply just being too critical and fooling myself?
Why isn’t God fixing the problems within the organization?

“In like manner, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, in order that, if any are not obedient to the word, they may be won without a word through the conduct of their wives, because of having been eyewitnesses of your chaste conduct together with deep respect.” – 1 Peter 3:1-2, New World Translation

The above scripture is used repeatedly in Watchtower publications to define the role of a Christian wife who finds herself married to a husband who does not share her faith. The scripture advises women in such a situation that they can win over their husbands “without a word”, or by letting their actions rather than their words give evidence that faith can make one a better person. In no way does it command any wife who faces abuse from her non-believing husband to remain with him regardless, and endure a violent relationship in the blind hope that he will eventually embrace her faith and stop abusing her.

brothers and sisters are concerned about what they deem as apostate
influence and infiltration among anonymous internet users, so they
setup a registration process wherein they can restrict who is able
to participate and become a member of their website. Registration
on these sites are limited to only those that can look up something
from a current Kingdom Ministry or songbook…

I received an email from a young brother that is trying his best to figure it all out. It is below, along with my response:

Thanks JJ

I’m just a kid. I need a lot of advice. I just don’t understand anymore how to please God. I do understand that Jesus is the way to Jehovah. There is no org. that will save us. A bit of background. I came to my own conclusion that the Jesus is not God, but the Son of God. Most Bible I use, have Jehovah in it. So I know his name, I know his Christ.

Where to go now? JW are the one that makes sense. But I can see certain thing that are not clicking with me. Like today’s study. Sept. 15, first article, par. 7. To me it felt like they are pushing out the Holy Spirit out. I can not pleased Jah, if first I don’t pleased men? How is it that Jehovah can not grant me understanding to His Word. Only through them?
