1 John 4:1  says: “Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.”

Does this apply to other religions or does it apply to all religions? Does it alpply to ourselves as Jehovah’s Witnesses? It seems like the only right answer is “yes”.  That being the case, what is an “inspired expression”? Don’t we have to define this completely, or at least try to?

I’m gonna flesh this out and post more when I can. Stay tuned….

I completely agree with you Sr. This is why many of us have gone back to the scriptures, & respected reference works, to find the truth for ourselves, therefore by-passing the traps placed within religion by the ruler of this system, Satan.
It is just as I’ve recently found out that the “church of Rome” can be traced back to “Simon the sorcerer of the 1st century, he is the one who tried to buy the gifts of the HS, so he could also do laying on of hands for healing. Following this incident, he then went to Rome, & set up an “immitation Chritianity”.

We can of course find the truth, but only with the help of the HS, & as much as YHWH permits us to know. In this time we are now living in, nobody will ever know the complete truth of the bible.
